Jell-o jigglers. We used red Jell-O and heart shaped cookie cutters for Valentine's Day and green jell-o and shamrock cookie cutters for St. Patrick's Day. Make jiggler recipe (found on jell-o box) the night before and allow children to cut, eat and enjoy. The children love the smell, taste and feel of these snacks.

For Valentine's Day, I cut tortillas using a large, heart-shaped cookie cutter and let the children spread their favorite ingredients on.

Suggestions: jam or jelly, cheese spread, peanut butter (make sure no one is allergic!), etc.

Have plain heart-shaped cut-out cookies for each child. Using one spoon or plastic knife per child, let the toddlers spread pink or white frosting on the cookie at snack time. Have some sprinkles available for decorating, too. They will lick more than gets on the cookie but it keeps their attention for a long time!!

For Valentine's Day, have the child cut out hearts using cookie cutters from red or pink Jell-O. The they can practice stacking them on top of each other! I tried this and they loved it!
