To encourage independence and confidence, we are going to have a Leprechaun's search for gold in March. I took some of the landscape rocks from around our home and spray painted them gold. Then I hid them around the classroom. When the children come, they all get a "pot" that I found at the dollar store and they have to find the gold rocks that are hidden.
