Cut a stencil of a shamrock out of poster board and have the children use those little sponge paint rollers to paint inside them with green paint. Use their fingers to write their names in the paint and a little saying like I am lucky or Happy St. Patrick's Day.

I cut out shamrocks out of green construction paper and did the children's footprints on the shamrock in white paint. I wrote " My Lucky Toddlers Foot" and it and gave it to the parents the morning of St. Patrick's Day so they has something green to wear that day.

1 box of green Jell-O mix as directed on package. Only refrigerate for 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours. Keep checking because you want it a little runny so you can paint with it. We use Q-tips to paint shamrocks, and leprechauns.
