When we are talking about bugs and spiders, I like to show the children how magnificent a spiders web is by capturing one that is vacant. I take a piece of black construction paper and carefully slip it up under a suspended spider web that does not have a spider anymore. The web stays on the paper and the children get to look the patterns of the web close up.
