We use those free CDs that advertise internet service, and the obsolete ones that parents donate for several things. We use them for fine motor practice (try to pick one up when it's flat on the table!), we entertain the kids by spinning them on their sides, we play color seeking and matching games, patterning, picture matching and the kids love to use them in our "kitchen area" as cookies and pancakes! We also use them for art projects. They make beautiful Christmas ornaments when you glue a photo in the middle and have the kids decorate the sides and/or backs. We also just hang them from the ceiling on strings... they look pretty with the light shining on them when they move!
