2-12-01At snack time we talk about the nutritional value of the foods we are eating. We also have a manners curriculum that we teach during snack time. It includes using utensils, using words to pass pitchers of water, juice, and foods. We use please and thank you. We talk about use of napkins, burping, etc. The culmination of the year of manners is a Mother's Day Tea where the children prepare foods, polish silver platters and pitchers, decorate with table cloths, and dress up special and enjoy a tea with their parents. They use their manners and introduction skills with each other. It is a very special occasion which Mom's and Dad's find especially wonderful.
