Take photos on digital camera and print it out. Get child to dictate sentence. Mount on colored paper and mail to grandparents.

Make a tape for grandparents of the children. Let them say their names, sing, tell what they are doing.  Do a little bit each day and when the tape is full, pop it in the mail. The grandparents who live far away will love this.

After discussion of family, looking at photos and talking about your favorite things about Granny and Grandpa, let your child dictate an email to Granny and Grandpa. Type while they speak and let them see the words appear. Then show that the email is sent. They will be fascinated and the grandparents will enjoy the letter. Be sure to type their exact words. This makes it all the more fun.
