3-21-01An excellent way to help toddlers celebrate diversity is to buy pantyhose in different skin tone colors. Let the toddlers put them on their hands and let them compare to each other. This a lot of fun and yet they learn diversity at the same time.
2-22-01Toddlers can celebrate and learn about "Diversity" and "Multi-culturalism". Have children look at each other and talk about what makes them different from the other children. Once a child has said what makes them different (for example, having blue eyes), have the rest of the children clap and give that child a round of applause. I believe it is important to let children know that we are all different in our own "special" way and we are great just as we are.
