Idea:

Here is a song about calling 911

(sung to the tune of BINGO)

There is a number you can call when you need someone's help.
You call 911, you call 911, you call 911
And someone will help you

Twinkle, twinkle traffic light
Standing on the corner bright
When it's green it's time to go
When it's red, it's stop you know
Twinkle twinkle traffic light

This is a really cute song about seatbelt safety that can be sung when it's time to go home. "buckle up bear"
I like my seatbelt nice and snug.
Around my hips like a big bear hug.
I make it click so the driver will know..... I'm buckled up and ready to go!

You can also take a regular old teddy bear and sew on a buckle (can cut one off an old, and/or unused baby carrier.)
You can give each child a turn demonstrating how to buckle up!

Children can use their arms to act out this poem:

Red on top, green below red says stop, green says go! yellow says wait even it you're late!

When we say go, the kids can run around the room in their pretend cars.

This tape also comes with a great activity book, words to the fun songs, letters to parents, and pictures to color that correspond to the songs.  We use this resource every time we teach our children about fire safety.  Our children love it!!!

Fire Safety Song to promote STOP, DROP & ROLL THREE SIMPLE STEPS by Mahi Akau Sung to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

What do you do when your clothes catches fire? Three simple steps to put out the fire. STOP where you are, Don't run, Don't run DROP to the ground, and ROLL all around. What do you do when your clothes catches fire? Three simple steps to put out the fire.

I hope it's helpful when you teach the STOP, DROP & ROLL technique.
