We were able to obtain some owl pellets (not poop but the feathers and bones the owl doesn't digest but throws back up like cat's do a fur ball.) We placed them inside a box we lined with foil (one from an entomologist that they mount bugs in that has a glass lid where the kids can see the pellets but not touch.) The kids can look at the pellets the first day they come and the teacher can sit at a table with rubber gloves on and show the kids how they can see what the owl ate by pulling apart the pellets. We were lucky enough to find a baby bird it ate and threw back up. :)
