When it was finished I let them paste a picture of themselves on it. It made a nice classroom project and the parents go a kick out of it. She is saying "I'm scared of spiders what is K119 scared of?" Display the spiders all around the bulletin board. 9-10-00Rock-a-Bye Baby... Give child a precut manila tag baby shape for child to add facial features with crayons or washable markers. Let child name their "baby" and wrap it in a small square of soft flannel. Teacher staples the "blanket" to secure it. Let child hug baby while singing "Rock-a-Bye Baby".
9-9-00For 3 Kittens: We cut out 2 "mittens" and punched a hole at the top right corners of each. Use a piece of yarn to connect them together. Can make these out of paper and let the toddler embellish with pieces of material, rick rack, glitter or what ever you choose. To take this a bit farther, print left and right on the back of each. If you let the little one cut out the mitten patterns it helps to develop small motor skills. Another one is that we are making "kitten masks" using paper plates. Make a kitten puppet using a small lunch bag. And for dessert tonight, we are making each family member a small pie. You can purchase the little aluminum pie tins at the grocery store and make individual pies!
