Misc. Fun
Contact_FullName: Missy Contact_Email: mhooks@firstmethodist-houston.com Area: Mittens Idea: After reading The Mitten, go to Jan Brett's website Janbrett.com. She has the mitten template with all the animals that my PRe-K colored and cut out (we helped with the cutting if they asked). Then the children could retell the story - kids loved it, especially the sneeze, and great sequencing and recall skills! I am also going to get a grandma to come in and knit for them to see. We live in Houston, so a snow unit truly is abstract thinking :) Contact_FullName: nancy Contact_Email: dippy@theriver.com Area: Mittens Idea: Have the children color two mittens as closely the same as possible. for threes , we put their first names on each mitten and use that to find their place at snack. For the fours, we put first name on one and last name on the other. They have their first name and match it to their last at snack time. |
