Ice Cream Games
Date: 2-2-00Children can have fun scooping play dough as if it were ice cream. First make various colors of play dough and put them in ice cream containers. Make forms stating how many and what kind of ice cream they need to scoop. Children check off the forms after they scoop the amount of play dough stated into separate dishes. (This activity can also be used with the book "Curious George goes to an Ice Cream Shop".
Date: 1-31-00Let the children use tongs to transfer cherries (red pom-poms) from one sundae dish to the other. Great for fine motor development!
