10-23-00Homes Have the teachers create a chart by putting different types of houses at the top. Such as a picture of a brick, or wood. A mobile home is the hardest to draw, but a rectangle works. Then have the children describe where they live. I once had a girl tell me she lived in a "purple bumpy house". That one was unique so we made her own category. Some children will tell you barns. Add it on too. Then tally up the answers and write them at the bottom of the chart. Great math, language, and science.
