Sing the song to the tune Mary had a little lamb. Read a book about frogs and
then get ready to swim and hop.
Baby frogs
Tadpoles are little baby frogs, baby frogs, baby frogs.
tadpoles are little baby frogs
They can swim like fish.
tadpoles grow four legs, four legs, four legs. Tadpoles grow four legs. They can
hop, hop, hop.

(blink-um... close your eyes and stick out your tongue)
blink-um went the little green frog one day blink-um went the little green frog
one day blink-um went the little green frog one day and his eyes went
blink-blink-um
(during the la-di-da, pat your thighs)
but we all know frogs go la-di-da-di-da, la-di-da-di-da, la-di-da-di-da we all
know frogs go la-di-da-di-da, they don't go blink-um-ah.
It's kind of a nonsense song, but my 2 year olds love sticking out their tongues
and patting their thighs.
There Was a Little Frog
(Follows the tune of Little turtle who lived in a box)
There was a little frog
That lived in a bog
Who climbed on a lilypad
and jumped on a log.
It snapped at a mosquito,
It snapped at a bee,
it snapped at a cricket
a dn it snapped at me!
It caught the mosquito....bee...cricket..
but it didn't catch me!
A cardboard lily pad and log can be cut put and placed in the middle of circle.
Three plastic bugs are handed out to the children and one child is chosen as the
frog. Have the "frog" act out the part by jumping from the lily pad to the log
and snapping and catching each bug that each child is holding.

toads sitting on a bumpy log. I made five green frogs and five brown frogs made
from construction paper and laminated than I added google eyes. I used them as
props for the class to use.

I can't describe the tune, but this song was on an Easter record my mom had
for us when we were kids. My class loved it!
The Little White Duck
There's a little white duck, sittin on the water, a little white duck, doin
what he oughter.
He took a bite of a lily pad, flapped his wings and he said, "I'm glad! I'm a
little white duck, sittin in the water, Quack Quack Quack.
There's a little green frog, swimmin in the water, a little green frog, doin
what he oughter.
He jumped right off of the lily pad that the little duck bit and he said,
"I'm Glad! I'm a little green frog, sittin on the water, Glug glug glug."
There's a little black bug, floatin on the water, a little black bug, doin
what he oughter. He tickled that frog on the lily pad, that the little duck bit
and he said, "I'm glad! I'm a little black bug, floatin on the water, eeep eeep
eeep.
There's a little red snake, lyin on the water, a little red snake doin what
he oughter. He frightened the duck and the frog so bad. He ate the little bug
and he said, "I'm glad! I'm a little red snake, lyin on the water, sssssss
sssssss ssssss.
Now theres nobody left sittin in the water, nobody left, doin what they
oughter. There's nothing left but the lily pad. The duck and the frog ran away,
I'm sad! Cause there's nobody left, sittin in the water. Boo hoo hoo!

The Frog and I
The frog and I, the frog and I can sing and hop but cannot fly.
We both can dive, we both can swim (although I can't compete with him).
We both have skin that's on to stay, but mine's not green I'm glad to
say.

This was a great song for the kids to learn each others name and a
great movement song as each pretended to be a frog to get to the other
side.
