Idea:

Use vegetables to paint with. The tops of carrots are great. Cut a potato in half and paint. Use a green pepper cut horizontally or a cob of corn.

Idea:

By using Styrofoam balls, the children can "produce" their own fruit! Small balls painted purple may become plums. Apples can be medium-sized balls painted red. When they are dry, place a green popsicle stick through the top and it becomes the stem. You may apply leaves by gluing green fabric to the top.
