We read "Jack and the Beanstalk" and "The Princess and the Pea" and we plant beans and sugar peas. The sugar peas are particularly successful because I always do my Fairytale unit in February, and sugar peas like to go into the ground in March.

Stardust Jars: Put a solution of water, oil, food coloring and glitter in a clear plastic bottle and seal the lid on tightly. Let the child shake the container to see the contents mix and float.
