First we make our Clifford headbands, practicing cutting the oval, round or hear ears and staple onto a decorated head band, Tissue paper, painted, markers etc. After reading "Clifford's First Day of School" each child wears their Clifford ears, get a black nose if they like, and then tip over a cup of yellow paint on a a large piece of paper and go for it! Contact_FullName: Kristina Contact_Email: date:: 04/22/03 Area: Clifford-Art Idea: Give each child one large red heart, 2 red dog ears (can be a second heart cut in half), 2 small wiggle eyes, and a small black heart (nose). Assemble so it looks like Clifford. Give kids markers to add Clifford's mouth. When dry give each child one large black nose and a pair of large wiggle eyes (or make large construction paper eyes) and have them glue on their paper. Add a smile and you have a Clifford. Kids are amazed that they painted Clifford and parents think it's cute, too.
