Area: Chocolate-Science

Idea:

The children in my preschool room love to taste test just about anything. I purchased different types of chocolate (bittersweet, milk, dark, white) and let them first smell the chocolate to see if it has a unique scent. We also discuss the shapes some chocolates come in (chips, suckers, squares), then I let them try them one by one. I record what each child says about the taste on chart paper and display it for everyone to see.
