Idea:

I keep an assortment of misc. buttons in my classroom. When we talk about different family types, I pour out all the buttons and let the kids decide what kind of family to make by sorting. Ex: two hole button family, pink button family, etc. We are all different, but we're still families.

Trace circles and squares

Sew on buttons using a tapestry needle

Sorting buttons using a muffin tin-sort by color, size or shape
