Make Bubble Milk. Give each child a small cup and a straw. Fill each cup halfway with milk. Add either chocolate or strawberry syrup to each cup; give them a choice. Then, let the children gently blow bubbles into the milk using the straws, which mixes the syrup with the milk. Then, they can drink their milk. I did this with my class, and we didn't have any big messes...just lots of fun. Note-You can also use food coloring, and teach children how to mix two colors to make another using this same activity.

Sparkling Jell-O! Let the children make their own snack with Jell-O mix. Instead of mixing water with the powder use sparkling cider, seven-up, or seltzer water. When the Jell-O is eaten you can actually feel little bubbles popping in your mouth! My class loved it.

Bubbly Drink. Mix apple or grape juice but use seltzer water instead of plain water to make bubbly juice. The children at my school really enjoyed this. They all got a chance to taste the plain seltzer water, too.
