Clap, Clap Clap your hands

God gave everyone hands,

Clapping, clapping, clapping, clapping, God gave everyone hands.

Wiggle, wiggle wiggle your nose, God gave everyone (or use kids name) noses, wiggle , wiggle, wiggle wiggle, God gave everyone noses.

Continue with every body part you can think of - say touch it, tap it, rub it, etc...

All ages love this song!

Now I Raise Them Up So High

Make my Fingers Fly, Fly, Fly

Now I Clap Them 1-2-3

Then I Fold Them Quietly

Ten Little Fingers I have ten little fingers and they all belong to me. I can make them do things, would you like to see? I can shut them up tight. I can open them wide. I can clap them together and make them all hide. I can put them up high. I can put them down low. I can fold them together and hold them just so!

(Do the actions that fit the words and end with hands folded in your lap.)

We did the Hokey Pokey while we studied the body...it really helped them to learn their left and right.

You put one arm in
You take one arm out
You put one arm in and shake it all about
Do the hokey pokey and turn body around
That's what it's all about!

Continue with other body parts :)

In our preschool- after we have completed the "all about me" theme -we draw an outline of each child on large craft paper and label eyes, ears, nose, hands, etc. Ten they are hung on the wall--we gather in a circle and sing the song "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes", the children point to each body part as the song is sung. It also is a good exercise song after any concentrated "sitting" work. Variations are to have different children be the leader and to point to the body parts on the silhouettes also.

Here is a fun song that gets those body parts movin'!

Father Abraham

Father Abraham
Had many sons
And many sons had Father Abraham
I am one of them
So are you
So let's just shake an arm!

Father Abraham
Had many sons
And many sons had Father Abraham
I am one of them
So are you
So let's just shake another arm!

Father Abraham
Had many sons
And many sons had Father Abraham
I am one of them
So are you
So let's just shake a leg!

You can go through different parts of the body:

Wiggle your ears
Shake your tummy
Nod your head..........etc.
