Baby Games
5-10-00Draw a large baby on poster board with the babies hands reaching out sideways. Let each child decorate a baby rattle (paper) and play "Give the rattle to the baby" the same way you play "Pin the tail on the donkey".
Date: 3-1-00This activity is for children 4 years and older. Cut out pictures of babies from magazines. Let each child choose one and glue it to a large paper. Ask child to describe what the baby is doing, what it looks like and make up a story about the baby. The teacher writes what the child says about the picture and reads it back. Some children can also circle words like "baby" .
Date: 2-26-00Play pat a cake or some other game that is a little young for them, they just might enjoy the freedom of behaving a little younger than what they are even if it's only for a half hour or so.
Date: 1-25-00Set up an obstacle course either inside or out. Have the children crawl through it like a baby.
Date: 1-25-00Ask the parents to send in pictures of the children when they were smaller. Photocopy the pictures and you can create a "baby concentration" game
