Introduce seals in your arctic animals unit by reading "Greyling" by Jane Yolen
at story time/circle time. After hearing the story, ask children to move around
the circle rug like seals. Ask them to bark like a seal. Pretend to throw fish
and instruct your seals to catch the fish for snacking. Bring out beanbags and
challenge your seals to balance the beanbags on their heads just like the seals
they have read about today! Great fun for 3-4 age group.
