Sing softly:

Alligator, (open thumb and pointer to make alligator mouth) Children repeat and do same motion. Looking for some food in the morning. Children repeat..

Next repeat the song but a little bit louder each time.

(two hands placed together at wrists to open for alligator mouth)

(arm at elbows placed together to make mouth)

Then really loud with the same words use your whole arms to make alligator mouth.

Last use on thumb and pointer tips of finger only and sing the song without letting any sound come out.

Children love this.

Alligator (regular voice) Alligator (" ") AAllIGAT OR (loud opera voice)

Can be your friend, can be your friend can be your friend too...WHOO!

The alligator is my friend, (repeat) He likes to dance and flirt, (repeat) If only you can understand, (repeat) Don't wear him as your shirt.

It goes on to say he loves to sing and dance, don't wear him as your pants. It's really cute. Buy it! Our children Love Dr. Jean!
