On the 100th day of school, put 100 ice cubes in a glass container. Allow the children to guess where the water line will be when the cubes melt. Start this activity early in the morning.

!00-Watt Exploration Read "Light" by Donald Crews. Turn out the classroom lights and have students observe the amount of light emitted by a lamp using 25,60,75, and 100-watt light bulbs. Ask children which type of light bulb would be used in different parts of their homes. Record their predictions - send home to find results with their parents.
