Talk with the children about George Washington Carver. Tell them about the wonderful discoveries he came across using the peanut ( peanut butter, soap, oil.) Give each child some fresh de-shelled peanuts put them inside a clear plastic cup. Place inside some damp paper towel covering the peanuts. place in a clear baggie. Have children observe the peanuts the way DR. Carver did. Also gather some foods made from peanuts and allow children to taste them.

Note----Make sure that no children in your class has peanut allergies.
