Make Blk.const. paper masks attached to a tongue depressor or popsicle stick. I cut out
the oval eyes & tiny triangle nose. Kids decorate with sparkely glitter & use at
circle time with the chant.
Another chant I use to send children off to line up for hand washing or going outside
is:
Ghost so scary,
Ghost so white
Don't scare _________ on Halloween nite!!
Go around the group pointing while repeating chant til you say the name of the child
who goes to the line. I usually say this in a whisper to add to the effect.

To celebrate the first day of fall, we said this rhyme to the rhythm of
Ring Around the Rosey:
All the leaves, come here
Summer's gone till next year
Autumn, Autumn
We all fall down!
My students also were assigned autumn colors and then the first line could
be changed to:
Yellow leaves, come here
And only those students would join the circle.
