Idea:

My Grandma is Special

During circle we roll a ball to a friend of our choice. First we announce our friends name, "Ryan" then the child rolls the ball to "Ryan". Ryan holds the ball and then says, "My Grandma or Grandpa (or any name he may use for his grandparent) is special because.....When he is done he will choose another, say his/her name and roll the ball to them. Repeat until everyone gets a turn. This is a great way for the children to learn each others names and for you to learn more about the children. Have fun.
