Idea:

One Earth

chorus: Theres only one earth and we share it with the whole world great and small.

Plants and creatures,

Land and sea and air

Theres only one earth for us all

Theres only one earth for us all

One Earth.

Mother Earth is our home she takes care of all life.

In a balance eternal and true.

(Chorus)

We have all that we need, we need all that have.

Mother Earth, is a family affair.

She is the house and the home that we share.

(chorus)

Idea:

Here's a song I came across while student teaching a few years ago.

Pick It Up!!

(London Bridge)

Keep our water safe and clean

safe and clean

safe and clean

Don't pollute your local stream

(say) Pick the trash up!

See the litter, pick it up

pick it up

pick it up

See the litter, pick it up

Don't you be a litter bug!

Idea:

This is an Earth Day rap that my preschoolers love.

Let's make the earth as clean as can be, I said let's make the earth as clean as be, let's make the earth as clean as can be, come on and follow me. Go outside and as fast as you can- give the earth a helping hand. If you see some trash just covering the ground, pick it up, don't leave it down. Clean up the cans and the paper and the plastic and do your part to make the earth fantastic.

Sung to Mary Had a Little Lamb

Hear the cans go crunch, crunch crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, Hear the cans go crunch, crunch crunch, Recycle for our earth.

Hear the paper go crinckle, crinckle, crinckle...crinckle,crinckle,crinckle,...Hear the paper go crinckle, crinckle, crinckle...Recycle for our earth.
