Area: April Fool's Day
Idea:
We play silly games and sing silly songs in circle time. We also do masks,
jester hats, make noodle necklaces. We finger-paint and sprinkle glitter on top
of paint, then I add a cut out square with the child's name and "April Fool's
Day" and the date along with this little quote I found on the internet "Take
time everyday to do something silly". On
that Friday of the week we make confetti (all sizes) wear our hats, necklaces
and masks and we go outside and have a blast with the confetti bags. I have even
added in the backwards day this year for that Friday, that's means we'll wear
our clothes inside out. If the confetti is too much of a mess for you then let
the kids do shakers out of toilet paper rolls, paper plates, etc. I hang
decorations all from the trees and all! This a whole lot of fun with really not
much work involved, the kids do most of the work! They love it cause it's a
party to them that they have created!
